Focus Mk3 Front Discs size

Featured Replies

Hi!

As google are no helping only most possible came up but that was for mk2. I have advised from MOT:

  • Offside Front Service brake fluctuating, but not excessively (1.2.1 (e))
  • Front Inner Brake pad(s) wearing thin (1.1.13 (a) (ii))

I know that my brake fluid was replaced at sametime I serviced it not so long ago, like last week. That down possible with bad discs, as I look up the Euro Car Parts. There came up two discs at front, one is 278mm and other is 300mm but they didn't specify which right one for mine 2013 1.0 EcoBoost 100HP 5Sp plus it have drum at rear.
I was thinking put Pagid discs and pads as they were great on my old Fiesta so I was going put on my Focus. I thinking to getting Pagid discs and Pagid Street+ pads (That was new as I never heard, I might try that).

Question is, what your recommend grease for pad and sliding pin? I normally put copper grease and
multi purpose grease for sliding pin but I like do this time doing right.

Torque spec data would be very helpful.

Should be 278mm front discs on a 100ps 1.0 EcoBoost.

I use Pagid CeraTec for pad grease.  And red rubber grease for slide pins.

I don't have access to the torque settings.

From Haynes manual:

Front caliper guide bolts  28Nm   21lbf ft

Front caliper mounting bracket bolts 120Nm   89lbf ft
