Warped disc / vibration

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise what might be the problem..

Had disc & pads replaced as where vibrating under warranty..only did 6000.miles and happened again Had them replaced again at my cost only done 1700 Miles and vibration is back again when braking at speed or down a long incline. Also noticed my steering wheel is wobbling like my wheels need balancing again..

This only happens when I am going slow ..

Any advice more than welcome 🙏

When you say the discs were warped, was that on both sides ?

The garage said it had run out on both sides. So not sure.if it did or.just said that.and advise to put a better quality disc and pads on as maybe  the warranty garage had put on cheap ones ..

Also when I had them change the first time the fitter said they looked new ..think it's been a long standing problem..

I've seen a similar problem on a 2015 Mondeo which was only 6 months old at the time. The Ford garage refused to accept that there was any kind of a problem. That was until one day on a roundabout the front O/S wheel hub came off !!

Two replacement hubs later and the problem was totally solved, or at least for the next 70,000 miles 👍
