Ford fiesta 2019 heated mirrors DTC B1164

Featured Replies

Hello,

On my Ford Fiesta, the right heated mirror is no longer functioning. Using FORScan, I found the diagnostic trouble code DTC B1664:15-28 (Short circuit or open circuit output on the right side mirror).

I removed the mirror lens and measured its resistance, which is approximately 170 ohms. Can someone confirm if this is the correct value for the heating element? I’d like to ensure there are no other issues before ordering a replacement mirror.

Thank you!

You could just confirm it yourself by measuring the resistance of the other door mirror. 🤔🤔🤔

I measured it and got a reading of 33 ohms. However, I found online that the normal values should be around 10 ohms, so I just want to confirm if this is accurate

I would expect the resistance to be 10 ohms or less. the value of 190 ohms is high for any kind of heating element.
