Car alarming

Featured Replies

Hi everyone , I'm having issues with my car. I've been to the ford dealership and they said they fixed it but I'm having a re occurring problem.

My car has been alarming every half an hour and it gave me a " put key in key slot" message. I've been told my battery on my fob was dying so I changed it and it stopped.

Now when I use my car , lock it about a minute later it would alarm again with the same message .

I'm not sure what the problem is. Can anyone help me. Thanks

The usual cause is the switch on the bonnet catch.

Using FORScan you will be able to see what has caused the alarm for the last 3 events.

BCM controls the alarm, other than making sure there aren't any windows open or that the bonnet switches aren't faulty, get the BCM checked

Hello, yes thanks for the advice. The message " bonnet open" also appeared but I know it's closed so maybe it is to do with that.

It's 100% to do with that !!!!

Replace the bonnet latch switch assembly and the problem will be fixed.
