Whoops! cambelt overdue

Featured Replies

I've just realised the cambelt is well overdue for change on the Mk2.5. In the 10 years we've had it I can't find any record of having it done. The car's now 14 years old and has covered just under 60,000 miles. Must be living on borrowed time. I don't currently have the User manual or Haynes to hand so can someone advise what the recommended interval is? I assume it's probably 10 years or less.

1.8 & 2.0 Duratec are chain driven.  No cambelt, and no recommended chain replacement interval.

Doh! I'm really embarrassed now . I've always known it's a chain and just had a senior moment :wallbash:
