Any FireStick experts?

On using some external streaming apps, I always get frequent ads 30 seconds or a minute long. During the ad, all buttons are inoperative and you're locked in to watching them.

I've tried video payers MX Player Pro, NV Player & TPlayer - all with similar traits. Anyone know if these ads can be overridden in anyway? (It's not the same as the auto ads Amazon play on home screen which I've already disabled in preferences)

I've never heard of that before.

My dodgy apps don't do that

I just assumed it was the video players causing the ads. Do you think it's the apps that are the issue? (TeaTV, BeeTV and CinemaHD)

What app do you use that doesn't have forced ads?

This guy is good at keeping you up to date on FireStick changes and software. There have been quite a few changes recently, all basically to force you to watch more adverts and longer adverts.

For the dodgy apps, Sky live etc, you just get a code and you put it in the downloader app

I subscribe to Sky LOL The apps I mentioned previously allow me to watch mainly USA drama, like 911, Law & Order etc. The sinister thing is that these ads whilst playing disable any button input on the remote forcing you to watch them. If it was a simple matter of just hitting the enter/return button to cancel them, I wouldn't mind...

He does have alot of content! Have sloshed through the vid titles and nothing really matches my issue. I suppose it may be hidden on one, but it would be difficult to watch every YouTube just in case 😂

As an aside.

The safest, smartest and only choice is to stick to legitimate providers for your entertainment."

This ethos has been applied to media for decades, even when I use to accompany police to local markets in the 90s to identify 'pirate' VHS videos being sold.  (I worked in the 'legitimate' industry at the time so had some expertise in the topic)
