Hi there,

Does anyone know of and recommend any decent Indy Ford garages in W.Yorks?

My nearest Ford garage is Trust Ford in Castleford.

Thanks

I find Mr Google quite helpful is such queries...

Not specifically a Ford garage these days (it was once a Ford dealer) but a pal of mine has had his Fords (and other makes) serviced here for many years and always been pleased with the service:

My friend had the wet belts on his daughters Fiesta done there recently.

He recommends their accident repairs too (unfortunately😀):

Springfield in Knottingley

I used them earlier this year and will be again in February for my 4th year service and 2nd MOT

Much cheaper than Trustford and others

Ask for Tim or Will

Meant to mention - going in the other direction from Cas:

Still a smaller family owned dealership. I found them very good when I lived in the area some years back, (they were a BL dealer before moving to Ford) and my late uncle was a regular customer until the end.

Might be worth a look.

No longer a Ford dealer as such but I believe they're Ford service approved. When asking for quotes, I found them more expensive than Springfield

I used to pop in occasionally when visiting my Mum but haven't since she passed away. They were majoring on used sales and servicing even then, but are still an approved service point afaik.

There seem to be quite a few around now who are still approved service points but no longer have the new car franchise. You wonder how long independently owned Ford dealers will keep going as far as new sales are concerned, particularly with the EV switch. Springfield must be one of the few left.

When I get rid of my Fiesta, I won't buy a Ford again.

Stopping production of the Fiesta was far too premature, and it's a good car

I agree, the Fiesta was the first ever 'new' car I ever bought. A 1982 XR2, I loved that car, and being a boy racer at the time, was really happy I didn't kill myself or others as I did drive recklessly!
