Was in Asda yesterday where they were selling vegetables ridiculously cheap. (Yes, I know other supermarkets do the same). For the princely sum of 8p you can get a 2kg bag of potatoes, or, a bag of carrots, or a large broccoli, or, a bag of parsnips.

Is it just me, or do others find it irritating they can't sprinkle those kind of offers throughout the year??

We're always being told how great vegetables are for our health, yet the only time we can buy them cheap is during the most overindulgent time of the year.

Made me quite sad to see it...

I was in Lidl this morning and it is the same there.

Thats good but i Dont need any 

I dread to think what the farmers are getting paid to allow the supermarkets to sell them for that price.........or are they a 'loss leader' ?

Asda made over £1 Billion profit last year, they're a loss leader, and they can afford to write off a few vegetables...

Just been to Morrisons and they want 10 pence for the same thing, what a rip off 🤣
