Hi can anyone advise what tool is required to depin the ignition coil connector on a Q7DA/QQDB/QQDA engine please?

Most of these type of connectors have the pins extracted from the rear. Can you post a photo of the back of the connector please. You will most probably need the very smallest jewellers flat blade screwdriver that you can find.

Usually you’ll insert depinning tool into front of the connector to push the pin’s tab down then it’ll pull out the back of the connector.

Thin straight depinning tool should do it but definitely worth trying the jewellers screwdriver first. The tool you get with an iPhone for removing SIM card may even do the trick 👍

Got it sorted with a jewellers screwdriver. Bit of playing around then sussed it.

Those red anti back out clips though what a nightmare so fragile! Just as well I had spare connectors. It’s an art just to remove those without breaking them.

Anyways all sorted. Thank you.
