Featured Replies

Hi all, I h ae has a 2024 focus st since new Aug 24, the car is great but after 74 miles one of the clutch pedal return springs some how have got so hot its has melted the housing and fallen off on to the carpet also burning this! Sent back to Ford to have work done! They had it 3 weeks and replaced the whole clutch pack… car now has 1470 miles on it and yes it has just done it again!!! Wtf AA have taken it to dealer.

has anyone else seen or heard of this fault ?

thanks stupotty

With no disrespect to this site - get on here for ST problems - the guys are very helpful and it is quite a busy site

https://www.focusstoc.com/

Yes, a lot of Focus/Fiesta ST owners lurk on the STOC sites as well as here, all helps the pool of knowledge.

Yes, the clutch pedal spring could  rub the wiring of the electric power steering  causing the wiring to short out generating heat to melt the housing. Is the car an st  or st line?

Hi iantt, it’s a st line

This time the dealer should be able to do a proper fix.

A recall came out last wednsday to fix this fault.  I've got 20 to do.

It’s already been in for a new clutch box so in for a second then!!

"it’s a st line" - you could do with clarifying you have a st line in your profile

Good info from Ian

It's an 'ST Line' not an ST 😉
