Hi guys need some help 

just bought an 09 focus second hand 

every time I unlock the car and get in the time always says 10.00 

I’ve tried to manually reset the date and time, but this doesn’t work 

any ideas would be most appreciated

Do you mean that the manual set doesn't allow you to set the time at all, or can you set it to the correct time, and it then reverts to 10.00 after a lock/unlock?

Hi thanks for your reply 

I can set the time manually 

but yes it just reverts back to 10.00 after unlock and lock

It could be that your battery needs a bit of a charge, not allowing the clock to maintain power enough to keep memory of time...

I will give it some charge tomorrow at work.  If this doesn’t work what else could it be 

You cannot set the clock reliably from the radio - try setting it from the steering column menu/drivers info

 

There are two fuses for these radios if I remember correctly. One is the constant keep alive supply (needed for the clock) and the other is for turning the radio on with the ignition. Check that both fuses are OK.
