Intermittent side bulb on my Fiesta 1.4 tdci 2009 plate

Featured Replies

My apologies have not used the site for a while.

I have a Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCI Zetec and my nearside side light has a mind of its own. When i put the side lights on the offside sidelight bulb comes on but the nearside does not. At other times its ok. To get it to work when its not on i tap the headlight housing and it comes on. I believe the bulb is ok as it does work albeit intermittently. Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Charliedog

If tapping the headlight works then that almost certainly suggests a loose connection right at the headlight end.

It may be in the main plug, though I would suspect it to be inside the light cluster, probably the individual bulb plug inside.  You can try squeezing the plug pins together with a thin tool in case they've worked loose.
