MK7 indicator problem

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I currently have an issue with my 2010 MK7 fiesta  where my nearside indicators do not work with the stalk, yet will flash with hazards and central locking lights. Drivers side is absolutely fine. Would be so grateful for any help, or where to look here if a previous post exists for this issue.
Have replaced the stork too, and hasn’t made any difference

Many thanks

As you've replaced the stalk, that suggests the problem lies with the BCM or the wiring.  If you only have that one fault on the whole car then I would be more inclined towards wiring, a loose plug pin perhaps, rather than an internal BCM fault.

Yes, it would be the most probable cause. A corroded or poor connection in the BCM plug.

Thanks both, is this fixable?

Yes usually.

Buy some switch contact cleaner. Unplug connections from BCM give a clean up with a stiff little brush and spray with contact cleaner.

Fingers crossed 🤞

Is this pretty straightforward? Not done anything before relating to the BCM. Did once spray and clean the pin that connects to the indicator stalk and this did help for a few times. Thanks
