S Max MK2 inner O/S tailgate light cluster replacement

Featured Replies

Ignore the frost. I need to replace the light cluster on my 2016 s Max mk2. I have a replacement, but it looks like I need to remove the tailgate trim, but I have no idea how to do that. Can anyone help please?

From my 2011 handbook this page may be relevant (inner trim panel and wing nuts if I've got the right cluster?) unless they have changed the design of course!:

Assuming you mean the inner cluster - there's no need to remove tailgate trim - there are two small access covers (around 4cm square) in the tailgate trim - prise these out and you'll see a long plastic retaining nut. Loosen this off, but before taking right out (don't drop it inside the tailgate when you do!!) it helps to give it a light tap to release the cluster from the rubber seal. The cluster "hooks around" the edge of the tailgate so remove the inner edge first, and it's off.....
