PayPal app query...

Featured Replies

I have reluctantly downloaded the PayPal app on my phone. On the 'front page', I have a list of previous purchases under the heading, 'send again'. Some of these were one off transactions over 10 years ago! I can find no way to delete the contacts, no matter where I look. Long presses etc do nothing. Is there a way to delete them?

I dont think its possible with todays security mommy state, tho you may be able to hide past transactions. I have it on both phone and laptop so will have a proper look later.

I believe not @StephenFord

We live in a world of technological inconsistencies. For months I've been trying to select paper (yes PAPER) statements from my bank while online using the laptop. No joy, the button to click remains firmly greyed out. So last night I decided to use the banking app on my mobile. After a little bit of hunting about I found the option and clicked paper statements, and it worked !! 🎉

So it would seem that based on Stephens dealing with PayPay and my dealing with the bank, you need to use a laptop and a phone app if you wish to get anything done 🤔

These days you need a phone to complete the 2-step verification for accessing anything on a laptop as well.

Over a year ago my bank removed the option for 'paper' statements etc, I was livid! I complained to the bank as well as the Banking ombudsman. 2 months ago, they finally re-offered the option of paper. (on both app & laptop!). I love them having to spend money on stamp/paper to inform me of my meager existence...

It's very annoying for elderly, as I can't use mum's 'card' for paying anything online like ordering her heating oil, or paying bills. She doesn't own a phone, and even if she did couldn't use it as being quite elderly and recovering from a stroke. It's often a challenge managing her finances...

When gaining access to my PayPal account on my laptop, it now requests that I go to my phone app to confirm it's me - I have 2 x step verification turned off 🤣

I can't use a phone much now due to vision issues.  Use the laptop most of the time.

I wish I could turn off all the 2step stuff.  When I'm given the option I keep it off.  But seems to be standard on many sites now.
