Turbo coolant hose clip

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I managed to snap one of the attachments from one of my coolant pipes. I reordered the part but it’s quite weird. It comes with a removal top - almost like a dust cap and as the last one broke into pieces I just chucked it before really looking at it. With the dust cap like top off, it is too small for the hose but with it on I can’t see how fluid will pass through. Am I missing something obvious here?

thanks

That's a bleed nipple.  The cap is removed to purge air but fitted at all other times to keep it sealed.

It doesn't fit on the end of that hose.  It may act as a blank when fitted to the reservoir.  Some cars have two hoses to the reservoir, others just one.
