I’ve brought a 2020 transit connect and believe the tpms has been switch off in the bcm.

spoke to Ford’s and connect came out with it fitted .

anybody else came across theirs being switched off ?

    TPMS is a legal requirement, was not aware that it could be switched off... It's like being able to switch your speedometer off.

    Hi all the sensors have been removed from the wheels and there’s no mention of TPMs in the menu on the dash where it should be.

    Apparently it can be disabled through Forscan but I don’t know anyone with it .

    Replacing the TPMS sensors is not hard, but will need to be done at a tyre garage. You can get a set of 4 sensors for about £65 from the likes of eBay.

    You can down load FORScan (free for windows laptop) and use a vLinker cable to turn the TPMS function back on in the Body Control Module (BCM) and also the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). There are problems in getting a full licence for FORScan at the moment due to it being Russian software, but you can register for a free two month extended licence which should be fine.

    Thanks unofix and is forscan easy to navigate through when doing this ? 
    or is it a mine field that could go wrong with someone that isn’t confident on computers ?

    Provided you take your time follow on screen instructions and above all back-up your car's profile BEFORE you make any changes.

    There are many of here on the forum who would help talk you through it.

    I've mine temporarily disabled until I get time to replace them it's easy to do with forscan.
