Hi

I am a home mechanic just fixing my own cars so don't need a bells and whistle car scanner.

I am looking for a scanning tool that can cover EPB brakes DPF regen and BMS new battery.

Can anyone recommend a cheap car scanner that can cover this.

    Surprised no one has replied, unsure if Forscan covers EPB but AFAIK it does do DPF and BMS (the battery SoC % if available). Battery change is usually covered by some dodgy set of button pushing whilst you stand on your head!

    Otherwise I only know of Gendan (https://www.gendan.co.uk/choose.php) who would give advice but won't be as cheap as Forscan and a lead, which has very comprehensive features (so EPB is the missing link for me at the moment - anyone?)

    Electric Parking Brake.

    Not sure why the OP (who was last here 19th Jan) needs a 'tool' for the EPB. There is a simple procedure to put it in to service mode with out the use of any tools, I know, I've just replaced my rear discs and pads.

    Also the BMS only needs reset if a new battery is fitted and again no tools required. So that only leaves the DPF regen which FORScan handles very well.
