BLIS light drivers mirror

Featured Replies

Hi All

Just a general question before I take it up with local dealer tomorrow. This morning driving along and the BLIS light aluminated in my drivers door mirror. Nobody overtaking me and it continued to aluminate for about 3 seconds every couple of miles.

I assume it will be the sensor in the rear bumper that is a bit iffy. Have cleaned it and given a bit of thump but if it is a sensor fault will it show up as a fault on Forscan?

If anyone is interested after trolling the internet it was suggested it could be water getting into the sensor. After investigating my boot area for damp, none present.  I thenchecked the rear bumper on drivers side I managed to find a gap big enough to get my hand up behind the bumper. No damp there either. whilst feeling around I found the two wires going to the sensor. I gave those a gentle wiggle and now the BLIS system is working perfectly again.
