Auto wipers / lights not working after windscreen replacemnt

Hi,

I had to have the windscreen replaced on 2010 S-Max and following this the auto wipers no longer work and the auto lights come on straight away regardless of whether it is daylight or not.

I tried testing the wipers using a hose, and they come on if I am hosing the windscreen, but not in normal rain.

Has anyone come across this and know how to fix it?

    First step is to replace the gel pad.

    Though if the lights stay on permanently then the sensor may just be broken.  The windscreen tech broke mine about 10 years ago.  Replacement was free of charge under their warranty.

    Thanks for the advice, will look into that.  Windscreen was replaced a couple of years ago so no warranty to go to.  It's been doing it since then, and it didn't bother me much to start with but suddenly it's annoying me it doesn't work.

    Gel pad ordered.  Will let you know how I get on.
