I can't believe what I have just seen, warning this is not one of my jokes.

Who knows that the NHS, the NHS so strapped for cash is now giving free smartphones out to pregnant women. Yes, you heard right and it's not even April yet.

Pregnant women 'struggling' to afford a mobile phone contract will be given them for free under a new NHS scheme.

The initiative is being led by a team of 'equity, diversity and inclusion' (EDI) midwives and aimed at tackling 'digital exclusion'

Those who qualify are given a mobile phone and SIM card that offers access to data, texts and calls for an 'approximate 12-month period'.

This is at Oxford University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. How long will it be before this is rolled out nationwide?

This is way better than any of the jokes you have ever posted 🤣

The 'phones are there for social media access instead of the mother having to interface with the child....
