carplay button enable is greyed out

Featured Replies

Hi I have a Ford Kuga Titanium 67 plate and I was trying to connect to Carplay through my iPhone 15  via USB charging cable but where it says to enable the mobile apps mine is greyed out and I can't enable it does anyone have any ideas as to why that is plz.

I think lots of the USB charging cables only carry power and not data. I would suggest trying an alternative cable that you know can do both before looking at anything else.

Thanks for your response I did use 2 different cables and it did not work.  I am now thinking if I reset my sync3 to the factory setting I will get the up-to-date version and hopefully, that works . I did notice that I am on the 2.3 version and I believe the updated version is 3.4.
