Dash not going to sleep draining batttery

Featured Replies

Hello, we have a 2011 Ford focus and the dash isn't going to sleep. It's been checked by a garage who advised it was the alternator and to replace this. We have done this but the issue is still there... We have disconnected the radio and it's still happening. Not sure what else it could be? I've seen it could be the instrument cluster has anyone had this issue and fixed it?

Garage mechanics and electrical problems mostly don't end well. It's like calling a plumber to fix your house wiring.

You need to use an Auto-Electrician !!

Your car very likely has one of two problems:

  1. Bluetooth module has gone faulty (very common problem). Un-Plug the Bluetooth module.
  2. The instrument cluster has the usual dry solder joint fault. Send it to @rd457 to get it professionally repaired.
