CD Fault

Featured Replies

I keep getting a CD fault on my radio, it cuts out all my speakers apart from the from centre one, and there’s like a clicking sound coming from the speakers, if someone could help that would be class

Cheers

Does this happen in all radio and cd mode? Does it happen with and without cd in the player?

I am not to experienced with ford stereos. But if the fault is not there all the time, it sounds like a temporary fault related the speakers that makes a short in the stereo amp. Like moist on the speaker making it partly connect between speaker connecetion and earth/ground. As a test. Take out stereo and disconnect speakers in back of stereo. And run with it to see if fault dissapear. If yes. Then connect one and one speaker and run with until fault comes back.

Had a bud who made a stereo short in a certain spot on his car because of bottom window fram hit speaker terminal when he opened/closed window on passenger side. Aftermarked and poor installation job.

Sorry for any bad spelling. English is not my first language.
