2011 S-Max Reversing Camera Obsolete Part No 1870253

Featured Replies

Ford cannot supply a new camera anymore so looking at aftermarket options. I would need to wire it into the existing 4 pin square connector in the tailgate but I can't find any pinouts for this connector. Has anyone had a similar issue and how did you get around it or do you have any other ideas?

Scrap yard would be my thoughts. They can still be bought new but are all around the £490 so I very much doubt you would want to pay that much.

You might be able to buy a complete tailgate for about £200 and take the camera off, then sell the tailgate 🤔

Hi, yes the new price in insane so I won't be going there. Thought about the tailgate idea too which is certainly an option but a pain so seeking the aftermarket approach or possibly even getting the camera repaired if I can find the right specialist. I'll post any updates when I have any news.
