I have recently purchased a Focus Vignale with the wireless charger option installed.

The charger seems to work ok for a few minutes, but then I get the message that the phone has moved (it hasn’t) and the charger is not working.  A minute or so later I get the message ‘Wireless Charger Active’ before the whole cycle repeats.

Is this common or is just my vehicle suffering this annoying fault?

    Took this matter to Ford Customer Services, who took it to Ford Technical Services.

    Just been informed that there is now a software update available to mitigate this problem, and I am waiting to hear from my local dealer for an appointment with them to apply the update.

    Good luck, the issue is caused by the camera area of the phone creating an air gap.

    Once you've got your software update done you will find that the air gap creates masses of heat whilst charging and the charging stops

    I would be interested to know how you know this as Ford UK have not previously disclosed the availability of the update.
