steering wheel change

Featured Replies

hi, new here, i have changed steering wheel from 2010 tdci titanium, into my 2009 tdci zetec, as original wheel settings control switch was faulty. new wheel solved problem with switch so all good.

however i now have air bag fault light on, but no fault code when i check with forscan. also i have tried to activate the cruise control which is on the new wheel unfortunately, it wont activate.

any ideas if i can program my modules to accept the cruise control, if so which calibration files do i need, and where can i get them. i changed the clocks from the donor car but unfortunately the slip ring/squib was damaged so couldn`t change this. any advice or help would be gratefully accepted

Does the RCM (restraint control module) show up on Forscan?

Why did you change clocks from the other car?  I'd put the original clocks back in if possible.  The IPC has lost communication with the RCM, that's what's causing the airbag light.

hi i changed the clocks because the trip computer original fault turned out to be on the ipc.

after further investigation i think the root cause of my problems may be due to the pcm dtc fault of low voltage level. in order to trace this i need the pin out designation for the pcm and wiring diagram with wire colours.

anyone know where i might be able to obtain this,

thanks in anticipation.
