Shouldnt be confused Uno.

Where I live the standard carpets get covered with pine needles.

Hence the rubber ones needed.

Have done so with the last 2 cars I had.😇

Recently had a marketing email from Ford advertising 30% off various products.

Decided to go for a set of contoured rubber mats for my Focus, specifically for winter use.

So pleased with them. I like the way the drivers one is shaped to cover the footrest - an area that gets really dirty.

Same here, the first thing I did when I got my new car was to fit a set of them.

Yes, I'd never got "proper" Ford ones before. These are great, as they are tray shaped and fit perfectly. Hopefully easy to clean too. Well worth paying a bit extra for.

I think it's a throwback from when Ford and Volvo were together, an ex of mine had Volvo company cars and she had them in hers, they looked exactly the same as the Ford ones do now.

Also when I have shopping that includes liquids like Milk I put the Bags on the passenger floor in case there are any spills, I've been caught out with spilled milk on carpets in the past.

@Tizer That's very interesting about the Volvo mats ... great design.

As for spilt milk. You brought back a memory! Milk got spilt in the footwell of my lovely Sierra Ghia, back in the summer of 1996. The stink after a few days was unreal! In the end I had to take all the seats out and remove the carpet. Took a whole week of hosing it through every day, hanging it out on the washing line, until all trace of the milk had gone! Nightmare! Mrs LincsFordFan and I laughed about it since.

But lessons learnt. Be very careful of milk in the car. Even last week, I noticed a brand new milk container was leaking at the checkout at Tescos! Those plastic bottles seem to have got very thin!
