My MOT certificate today said: "this vehicle has an outstanding recall. Contact your nearest ford dealership for information and to arrange a free repair".

 

I called the dealer and they said there aren't any outstanding recalls.

 

Does anyone know if there are any recalls and if I need to do anything, please?

For anyone interested, might be good to know:

 

There is a recall but not something ford will action unless the car fails emissions test at MOT. 

 

" If a customer vehicle fails the legally required Particulate Number test portion of the MOT/Periodic Inspection due to a cracked DPF, please fit a new DPF at no charge to the vehicle owner. Please retain failure evidence, e.g. photo / print out of the failed test result showing a higher than legally acceptable soot emission which fails the test, for possible future audit.
