My car is 3 and a half years old now and as with previous ones all bought new . The drivers seatbelt will no longer function . If you hold down the red button and mess around fiddling the belt retainer into it then let go it holds and releases when the button is pressed . We had exactly the same problem on our last car a Ford Kar Plus and the dealership said it was a warranty job and ordered a new one and replaced it free of charge however that car was only just under a year old .

WD40 spray works for about 4 days only .

When we had this car serviced at the dealership last year they said we not had another 3 years cover but not sure what cover they were talking about . 

The seatbelt is identical to the one in the Ford Ka and when that started to pay up we did manage to get the belt to hold for about 2 weeks then it all came apart inside , i can see this one is going to do the same .

What is our position , is the Ford Warranty still any help after 3 and a half years ?

Standard Ford warranty is 3 years.

Did you pay extra and take out extended warranty ? If not then you will have to pay to get it replaced.

Unless you can get a contribution towards it from Customer Relations? (but don't hold your breath, get it changed quickly for safety?)
