Focus MK3.5 Powershift DCT250 - Gearbox Service?

Featured Replies

Hi

My Focus is at around 61K miles, and I don't believe it's had a gearbox service yet - I bought it at 58k.

Engine: 1.6TI VCT

Year: 2015

Could someone point me in the right direction on the correct oil I need to purchase to service the gearbox? I read it is a simple drain and refill ordeal.

🤣🤣🤣

You shouldn't believe everything you read.

@DaveT70 will keep you right 👍

It's not as drastically important on a Petrol Powershift as they have a sealed dry clutch.

Or, as they say, it's a dry clutch DCT250 and it isn't broke, so don't fix it👍

It's normally Diesel wet clutch DCTs that need the oil changing more often as the clutch particles contaminate the oil.

Make sure you research and buy the right fluid as it may be different to the fluid in a diesel DCT
