Featured Replies

Hi my s max 2009 auxiliary belt snapped and then cut out ,I replaced the belt but now won't start ,turns over but seems slightly lumpy any ideas plz .

Has the belt damaged the crank sensor or wiring?

The auxiliary belt snapping would not cause the engine to immediately cut out, unless as Tom has already said it has damaged the crank sensor.

This sounds more like a timing belt fault.

I have seen timing belts taken out by a snapping aux belt as well.  So that's another possibility.
