So how did the Auction house move it about ?

and have you now got it home, if so how ?

Where is the car, can it be moved to dealer by same method that it was moved to you a the "easiest" way to sort this?

Is there a way to release handbrake and steering lock (I doubt it?) by some fiendish combination of button pushing???

Forscan may help but I thought you had to have at least 1 working key???

No, otherwise there would be no point in the steering lock. 🤔

No it won't. You need to have the ignition on, and the vehicle is a 2019 model so Key programming is a Ford dealer job.

You beat me by about 2 seconds, your reply came up as I was preparing to post - I'm a slow poster and can only add my comments for older stuff so always bow to later knowledge and state that!

So @Matt whit has to get it to the dealer...somehow.

Why does the car need to be rolling for a garage to get it in their workshop?  Surely they have a couple of dollies for exactly this purpose.

Although as the key stuff is all done wirelessly via a tablet, there's no reason they couldn't do that outside anyway.

You can manually release the handbrake as a last resort, by unplugging each caliper and putting 12v directly to it.  It's literally just a motor, spins one way with + voltage, spins the other way with - voltage.

Thanks for the replies, looks like it’s going to Be a struggle! I was hoping someone would know of a mobile technician with ford software that could help

You could book it into Ford for programming and key learn, but you would probably need to buy the keys and fobs from them.

You could transport the dead car to the workshop's car park and the workshop will "stringo" or "go-jack" the dead car into the workshop and cut and program the new keys.

I would get a quote from them, they may even offer to recover you to the dealer too

Just to add, if the car is stolen and has no keys it would be best to get a Ford dealer to do it anyway.

An aftermarket person will just add the new keys whereas a dealer will delete the old keys too.

You should really change the door lock barrel too as the thieves still have the key

Hi everyone.

My friend at work has the same issue. Although his handbrake is off. He has a 2019 Ford focus st stolen recovered with no keys.

He has had a coupe of locksmith / auto electricians out to try to start the car , but with no luck. I think one of them has cleared the key off the ecu and now can’t get a new one to reprogram/ link to start the car.

I keep telling him to get it to a Ford dealership to sort it , but he thinks he’s going to be able to get it done himself?? Is he going to be able to do this, because I don’t think so. He’s now had it 3 months and spent god knows how much money!

Some people can't be told. I suggest you wait until he runs out of patience and offer him fifty quid for it!

Then take it to a Ford dealershio to sort it.
