1.5 ecoblue 7mm or 8mm cam chain

I've  been looking into the upgrade cam chain size on the 1.5 ecoblue from 7mm to 8mm , I was told to look for these numbers on the cam cover to determine what size chain I have .  

98 126 472 80 is 7mm

98 305 804 80 is 8mm

Has anyone heard of this , I have checked mine and I have the latter , as the engine wasn't upgraded till 2023 and mine is a 2020 if this information is correct mine was upgraded at some point but I haven't got any paperwork to confirm it . Over to you

    From the information I've seen the above was used from 2018 onwards and has the 8mm chain.

    Thanks unofix , so if these numbers are correct even the early engines was fitted with the thicker chain ! So which engine had the small chain and does this mean when I have my belt done I shouldn't in theory have to worry about the chain .

    To contradict the above post...the information I have says that the 7mm chain was fitted until approx June 2022.

    That's what I was told that the upgrade didn't start till 22 /23 that's why I wanted to see if anyone had heard about those numbers to determine which chain is fitted,  as I'd said in my original post that I had the number which says I've got the 8mm chain .
