Lost Communication with TCM

Featured Replies

Hi

Hoping someone can help. My car randomly shut down in the middle of the road. It’s stuck in ‘P’ and the gear indicator is flashing. The electrics come on, but there’s no engine power. I’m getting loads of errors on the dash like ‘No Pre-Collision Sensor,’ ‘No Parking Assist,’ etc. I remember someone else had a similar issue, but I’m not sure what they did to resolve it. Has anyone experienced this and found a solution? It’s at a local garage, but they’re scratching their heads too.

Model: 1.5Tcdi 2020 16000 miles.

I had similar issues with my 2.0 ecoblue auto and that was a broken wire on the gearbox.

Had a recall done 5 years ago to prevent an issue with wires rubbing on the gearbox, suspect the dealer may not have fixed it properly.
