Engine malfunction

Hi All

Has anyone got an idea why my focus is ok then then loses power ie going up hills but is ok again after that 

Turn off and restart light go's off then will come back on after asking for more power to get up hills ect

    Not enough info (for me) to make any judgement at all, need fault codes whilst presumably EML is on?

    Use Forscan and lead if you don't have a scanner, or even if you do (as it reads ALL Ford specific codes)?

    Thankyou not much else I can tell you to be honest apart from losses power noticeable most going up hills when asking for more power this doesn't happen all the time though I haven't got a cable so I will invest in one and see what codes come up
