For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster - ??

Featured Replies

I am trying to contact the medical service website that my GP practice uses (patient-services.co.uk). Everytime I use the contact form, I get the email returned to me with the message,

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster

Where is this 'postmaster' they speak of, there are no contact details on the returned email so as a bit of communication, it's useless!

(No, my GP practice can offer no help, they can barely use a telephone 🤣)

I think the postmaster is likely the people who manage the server.
This is their support page with a technical access button also:
https://support.patientaccess.com/

I used to use this for prescription ordering and some of the topics in their emails were relevant but now I find it too much like advertising (Boots hearing aid appointment anyone?) so I've seriously considered unsubscribing?

This is quite common for 'public services' like the council, NHS, government. It generally means their mail box (inbox) is full because they've not bothered to read the messages.

In the tiny micro print at the very bottom of the web page is usually a link to contact the site administrator.

I've used this contact as well, sadly it bounces back as well. It's truly an awful service but classic 'public' offering in that there is no alternative...

It works in so much it allows me to complete the form, but then I just get a, " [email protected]" in return...

Oh dear 🙁

Shouldn't be surprised, it is the NHS and they've hardly got any IT staff 🤣

I know... Tony Blair squiffed £14 BILLION on a new integrated NHS IT system, which ended up so bad, it wasn't even commissioned! To err is human, but to really f*ck up, you need government 😂

Sorry, both look equally fustrating/of little use (at least to me)!

Email address from their T&Cs:

[email protected]

I actually used that address to email them on the 25th March, it bounced back just like every other contact I can find. But thanks anyway. If you're really bored, send them a 'test' email and see how long it takes for it to bounce back. I thought there was a legal necessity to have a working email if you run a web site, obviously not...

The post master address should be:

[email protected]

Or you sometimes find webmaster works too:

[email protected]

Could also try:

[email protected]

and

[email protected]

If they've configured their email server wrong, or got the wrong forwarding address you are a bit out of luck though.

I've now sent an email to all 4 x addresses, I'll report back with what happens.

Many thanks,

stephen

I'm actually going to phone them tomorrow after discovering a number for them. I expect to be on hold with, 'my important call' all day 😂

Or you might get a recorded message.

"The number you have dialled is not in service. Please check and dial again" 🤣

Looking forward to the update, make sure you have a flask of tea and a box of sandwiches before you settle in and give them a call !!
