Boot won’t open

Hi so my boot on my 2003 mk6 fiesta won’t open, the key won’t unlock it (it’s never worked) and the boot release button on the dash doesn’t either but it only stopped working this morning (11/04/25) is there a way I can fix this or am I stuck with a closed boot

    Why does the key not work ? Is it the wrong key or the lock is seized up ?

    Drop the seats, remove the tailgate panel, open the latch, fix the lock, change the switch
