2016 eco boost reverse wire size

Hi,

I've fitted a rear view mirror dash cam to my wife's eco boost, I'm wanting to hook up the rear camera to the reverse live wire.  There are two wires one black and one white, I'm led to believe that the white is the live wire ( can anyone confirm please), for ease of hooking the rear camera up I'm looking at using a cable lock connector but unsure as to which size to use, I have size 7, 14 and 22 which I got from Halfords, I don't want to mess it it by using the wrong one going by eyesight alone.     • UK/Ireland Location: Aberdeenshire

    scotchlok connectors are generally not recommended, but provided they are kept dry they should be fine for your application. You need to use the Red connector.

    Thanks for the feedback (profile amended) new to the forum and it's my wife's car, you say use the red connector unfortunately there are two red connectors one size 7 and one size 14 🙄
