High pitch sound on accelerating

Featured Replies

Hi all

I’m new here, currently have a 2011, Mk 6 Fiesta, 96,000 miles, auto.  It’s been a great little car

It’s had an unusual high pitch sound when accelerating to over 2500 rpm in the past 3 months or so.  Only lasts a few seconds.  The sound doesn’t occur when idling.  Please see link to video

My local Ford garage has road tested and investigated but cannot locate an issue or hear noise

Im thinking it could be an alternator bearing?

Aux drive belt and main timing  belt have been replaced in the past year

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thank you

Dave

Hi Jesse,

Few things to sort out first. Your profile says the car is 2025, which is not correct. Also a Fiesta 2011 model is a Mk7 in the UK. The very last Fiesta Mk6.5 ended in 2008

Lastly you are posting in the Fiesta GUIDES forum, which is not for questions. Please correct your details and then repost your question in the Fiesta forum.
