Radio/Binacle clock not syncing.

Featured Replies

I'm trying to understand the Bluetooth/sync system on my 2009 Galaxy 2.0tdi Ghia.

I've replaced the Sony radio/cd and Bluetooth units with an aftermarket head unit.

First problem is I've had to introduce a 12v ign trigger ( taken from the cigar lighter socket ) in order for the unit to power up. Now it's on and I can interrogate the head unit I've managed to get most things working ( steering wheel controls etc ) but I have a niggling problem with the clock in the instrument binnacle. It seems that it takes its time from the head unit except it can take half an hour or more to update and more often than not it stays stuck in between updates.

Would anyone know if my thinking is correct with this and if it is based on a Ford Sync type system and if so how to you access it?

Thanks for any help or advice.
