Hello everyone, I have a 2007 S Max with IVDC electronic dampers that are out of order. Their prices are exorbitant, and I'd like to know if they can be replaced with standard dampers without any risk. I understand that this will cause a fault light on the dashboard, but is it really a problem? Thank you very much for your help!

Hi,

As far as I can tell, the suspension warning light is not a fail for UK MOT.  If you are not located in the UK then you should check local testing regulations.

With regards to safety and handling, there won't be any problems as long as you are changing all of the dampers to standard.
