Hi I have just had my injection system renewed on my 2016 diesel Mondeo 2 months later the car just cut out with no warning.would not start again when I took it back to garage they told me the inlet valve was broken and the engine was unable to be fixed can someone give me some advice on this

It might help others to give advice if you told us exactly which engine is lurking under the bonnet of your car, and also exactly what the garage said is wrong.

The garage aint 💯 there investigating more Monday but mentioned it’s the inlet valve

The garage also said the engine was not repairable,i just wondered if the two faults could be linked or should of been highlighted before the injectors were renewed any advice would be appreciated

I assume you had the car repaired at a garage and not by the local fortune teller ?

If mechanics could accurately predict the future of what and when something would break then they would be nearly as rich as Elon Musk 🤣

Inlet valves and fuel injectors are not mechanically interconnected.

Valves don't just break.  The usual failure is when they get hit by pistons, which only happens when the timing belt or chain breaks.

For now I would just wait to hear what the results or the investigation are.
