Front washers stopped working

Featured Replies

Hi

The front windscreen washers on my wife's BMax have stopped working.

I've done a bit of investigating and it seems the wiperstalk is the issue, but I want to be sure.

I was hoping I could jump a pin on the stalk's connector to operate the washers to determine the stalk is at fault.

I've looked for wiring diagrams online to see if I can do this but had no luck.

Can anyone help?

It doesn't work like that.

When you operate the stalk for the front screen it sends a signal for the front to the BCM, and when you operate it for the rear screen it sends a signal for the back to the BCM.

It is the Body Control Module that actually operates the screen wash pump.

If you were to use FORScan then you would be able to monitor the operation of the stalk and see if it is sending the signal to the BCM.

If you can hear the pump then it's blocked with gunk, clean out tank

If you can't hear the pump, then it's the pump
