Boot button ford fiesta mk5

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I purchased a ford fiesta mk5 and have a problem with the boot release button.

Whenever I press the button the boot opens on the first few presses but after that it stops. I have replaced the solenoid and the car battery but still no luck.

Funny thing is that, the boot opens fine whenever I use the key fob button, this tells me the solenoid is working.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

K

A 2008 Fiesta is a Mk6.5 or it could even be a Mk7 if built after September 2008, but it's certainly not a Mk5 here in the UK.

Replace the tailgate handle/button, it's a common fault. You should find a replacement on eBay for less than £15
