Belt type (another question!)

It's not an actual set in stone interval but the car will normally determine when it needs doing and as a general rule it works out between 50,000 and 60,000 Miles. Cost for the service kit for a model 3 is approx £525

This is all very interesting stuff and perhaps deserves a separate thread (in General Chat for example) on EV servicing for those considering the move?

Tbf, even one oil change every 5 years at a cost of £500 is less hassle & cost than ICE oil changes every year at £100+.  No fuel filter, spark plugs or cambelts to change either.

I would be interested to know how the Tesla type compares to VW ID range or Nissan Leaf.  (And as it's a Ford forum, suppose Mustang info would be useful too...)

Is there a consensus (if that is possible!) on the replacement intervals for

1) timing chain

2) the wet oil pump belt

Not necessarily what Ford recommend, if real life user experience suggests otherwise!

(2022 Fiesta ST3)

My consensus is any type of wet belt should be changed at 8 years or 80,000 miles which ever comes first.

By default the timing chain will have to be replaced at the same time the wet oil pump belt is changed.
