Focus Mk4.5 estate Electric tailgate

Featured Replies

Just looking to see if anyone has retrofitted the electric tailgate on the mk4.5 estate and what their thoughts on it were and what kit you used as I’m currently debating if I should do it or not.

I retrofitted the electric tailgate on my MK4. All OEM parts and wiring. It works grate, except for two things:

1. The key fob won't open or close the tailgate.
2. I can't enable the foot sensor in the BdyCM with Forscan.

When I've got more time, i would love the find someone who can reprogram the key fobs, maybe that fixed issue 1.

It's a hell of a job to put the wiring in place. Other than that, I'm really happy with the electric tailgate.
