Unable to clear crash data - please help

Featured Replies

Could you please help me. I've replaced an airbag module which had a fault code of U3000 and sent it to a company to transfer the data from the old to the new module. However the problem isn't fixed as I still have error codes which cannot be cleared. Also my power steering used to work but it has suddenly stopped working.

I have the following queries:

1. Has the company transferred the data correctly to the new module and failed to clear the crash data.

2. Can the crash data still be cleared with diagnostic equipment or will they continue to show if the fault is still there.

3. Can you please recommend any ford techies who can clear / fix all the faults. As I cannot do it nor can my local garage. Im looking for someone who knows what they're doing.

I've attached photos here for you to see the screen shots of the error codes after the module transfer and the report from the company before/after data transferring.

Please help as I desperately need your support.

Only things I can say would be to ask repair company what was done and can they suggest what has gone wrong.
Otherwise can Forscan read and clear the crash flag and look at the detailed codes as an alternative to your scanner (sometimes scanners don't do everything on every car)?

I can't rely on the repair company. They're more body repairers. They used a topdon diagnostic equipment, is this any good?

Where can I get forscan software? Is it free and easy to use? Can it be used on a laptop?

Can you recommend anyone who's familiar with fixing ford's in the North West of England?

Thanks

Try contacting YouTuber, Mat Armstrong - don't think anyone knows more about problems with crash data than him. Has sorted many crash damage issues though currently he has a Lamborghini he is having issues with!

Send module to Crash Data in Liverpool.

FORScan and other DTC readers can not reset the RCM, it requires specific software.

An expensive toy. It fails to read many of the Ford specific DTC's.

Thanks for all your replies. It's much appreciated.

Is there any further information or contacts anyone else can offer?
