Cruise control activation

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

Does anyone here know anybody that can point me to the person that can activate Cruise Control on Ford Focus MK2.5 . I have swapped steering wheel for the one with controls factory fitted, done the checks , it’s all connected. Just need someone with the software to activate

regards Lubex

Why not do it yourself? All you need is a cable and a free forscan license? I did mine myself on my Mk3 focus, it took about 5 mins. This cable is the best value and one of the few ones officially recommended.

I don't know which ones will work.  Some are very poor quality.  It's pot luck now that Tunnelrat don't sell them anymore.  They do offer some suggestions that they claim to have tested here.

There is a newer cable used for Forscan (V-Linker) but with ELMConfig being a very old program I'm not sure whether it'll work with those cables.

The modified ELM cables have a switch for HS/MS CAN on them.  The standard cables don't have that switch.  You do need that switch otherwise you can't access all of the modules.

Hello again! Above are the links to instructions, the second one is the simple instructions to activate modules HEC, GEM and PCM. Hec and Gem are easy but I had a problem with PCM ( Getting error non-empty VID block found in the PCM module. )

the top link is the instructions for this specific situation, if you read the whole thread you’ll understand hopefully 🤞. Let me know how you get on. Good luck

Ps read whole threads for but pay attention to the answers I linked

top link look for DanP he explains how to deal with the error message!!!
