Mk3 fl Econetic gearbox compatibility

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a broken gearbox code: F1FR-7002-NDB
I've been trying to find replacement with exactly same code, but haven't had any luck so far.
Most of the gearboxes I've found end with ADA, but it seems like those might come from non-Econetic models, most probably with different gear ratios.

The close match I've found is F1FR-7002-NDA, so my question would be - do you think it will fit?

It's the same gearbox just an older revision.

Normally it's not advised to use an older part because sometimes there are backwards compatibility issues.

If it were me, I would take a chance in this case.👍

Yes, Econetic had a taller final drive ratio

As @unofix says, I'd risk the NDA

If the casing doesn't fit, which I doubt because it's still F1FR, you could always swap the internals over
